150%Of Federal Poverty Guidelines — income-based qualification threshold

Households at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines qualify

Source · California LifeLine — Effective June 1, 2026

The income-based path to California LifeLine sets the household ceiling at 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. For the eligibility period effective June 1, 2026 through May 31, 2027, the annual income limits are $24,600 for a household of 1, $33,300 for 2, $42,100 for 3, $50,800 for 4, and an additional $8,700 for each additional household member.

'Household income' means total annual gross income before taxes for every adult and child in the household — wages, self-employment, benefits, pensions, child support, and any other cash or non-cash income.

Members who don't qualify by income often qualify by program participation instead — including Medi-Cal enrollment alone, which is the fastest path for the members Atlas serves.
